In his weekly Monday Morning Quarterback column over on SI.com, Peter King has this to say:
Michael Roos, Jake Scott, Kevin Mawae, Eugene Amano and David Stewart are paving the way for a running game averaging 4.5 yards a carry, fourth-best in the NFL, and they’ve allowed just two sacks all season. You can tell me other lines — the Giants or Bucs, most notably — are excellent and might be the best in football, but don’t tell me any line is better than Tennessee’s. The facts just don’t bear it out.
The thing that irritates me about this column is that he doesn’t even mention the Dirtbags. The Dirtbags (a.k.a. the Redskins offensive line, a.k.a. the Hogs 2.0) have made enough room for Clinton Portis (did you see how he was stylin’ after the game?) to rumble for a league leading 944 yards and a 5.0 average. The Titans leading rusher Chris Johnson, is a measly 400 yards behind Portis.
Who do think is the better line?
